WELLNESS THROUGH GROUNDING

Think about the last time you took a walk on a sandy coast while seawater cascaded over your feet, or just sitting in nature allowing the air to transform you into a peaceful state. We were designed to connect with nature.
Sadly, we have become a people who spend too much time inside and around electromagnetic waves destroying our health physically and mentally. So today I am talking about grounding or earthing as some call it. It is simple, yet the benefits are almost too much to contain in this short blog.
Earlier this week I canceled my yoga classes and connected with nature because I was completely empty of caring. We need to express this to each other to confirm sometimes you need to fill back up by doing nothing.
How do we fill back up????
One way is grounding. Standing or walking barefoot in nature, whether that is on sand, pebbles, grass, or forest floor.

SCIENCE
We as humans are an extension of Earth’s gigantic electrical system when we connect to the ground. The challenge over the years is we don’t connect due to a lifestyle of being indoors more, rubber and plastic sole shoes rather than traditional leather hide preventing us from a connection. WE ARE NOT GOING BAREFOOT ENOUGH to get the benefits of connection to Earth’s energy. It takes as little as 10 minutes of skin-to-ground contact to begin the benefits. The Earth allows electrons to spread into the skin by joining a negative with a positive. A simple nonscientific way to describe this……we feel ‘negative” so we seek out a “positive” When you build up too much negativity it can paralyze you from doing what you need to do to get well and take longer to accomplish. When you are feeling a little (stressed, negative, or unwell) you could go ground yourself in nature.
Grounding is when the earth allows electrons to spread into the skin to impact immune markers thus improving health. The contact with surface electrons by bare skin exposure transfers the ground energy into the body. (National Library of Medicine PMC 3265077)

Getting geeky for a moment—the article explains in the established date the electrons from antioxidant molecules ( the body armor that fights free radicals--- positive charge) neutralize reactive molecules (free radicals-- negative charge) Therefore a negative meets a positive and all is canceled out—peaceful, wellness state for the body. Our history as humans is we walked barefoot and even slept on the ground for centuries, which aided us to release the build-up of negative electrons (free radicals). As we progressed, we left behind what was designed to help us. Today’s modern lifestyle has separated us from the flow of Earth’s electrons from rubber/plastic shoe soles to surrounding ourselves with too many electromagnetic waves from the constant state of electronics around us. Electromagnetic waves are the major factor in producing free radicals in our bodies leading to many chronic health ailments.
CAUSE AND EFFECTS
The result of too many electromagnetic waves upon our bodies are:
Feeling sad or down
Confusion or unable to concentrate
Excessive worry or fear
Extreme moods from high to low
Withdrawal from friends and activities
Significant tiredness with low energy
Inflammation is the main cause of 80 chronic illnesses in our body
The benefits are less pain, emotional wellness, improved digestion, better sleep, and all organs and systems of the body functioning well. You will just feel better and have more in the “tank” to handle the stresses of life.
So, think about right now—this minute—going outside and allowing your bare skin to touch the ground, listen to your breath, and the sounds around you, and allow the process of the negative molecules to join up with a positive from contact with the earth to begin a journey of healing.
